Yes, it took many builders to create our civilization, and many exist today. They should be appreciated. However, there is an excess of operators and a dearth of builders in modern Canadian politics, which needs to be rectified.

As to the statement alluding to the current US president as a builder, he is not a builder, he is anything but a builder. His claim to fame as a business man, or as a politician, is to taint or destroy anything that he touches.

Hence his admiration for Xi, Putin, Kim Jung UN......

The term "builder" purely refers to someone who rises to the top of a hierarchy by operating outside of existing institutional structures. It doesn't deal with the competence of a person.

Once elected, voters could lobby their MPs and change the view out of the window. Everyone should know that the Conservatives must appear Centrist enough in order not to give the Fakestream Media any fodder. Gun control or immigration for example. Four years is a long time in politics and a lot can be changed. However, four more years of Marxism will finish the democracy.
